September 21, 2019 was an amazing day! I met Alanah and her bridal party at MnO Salon where they began their day way before I arrived. They finished up with a toast outside and off they went. To meet up with Austin and join hands in front of their best friends and family.
I had already shot Alanah’s sister’s wedding previously so I knew what awaited me. Everyone was so nice and generous the whole day, the reception wasn’t just a dinner and toasts, it was a party
and the love shared between this weekends couple was very apparent the whole day.
Thank you and your families so much for allowing R.T. Photography to be apart of your lives! I hope everyone viewing this blog will take a second to read Alanah and Austin’s story together below before viewing the images!
“It all began when Austin sat in the wrong seat, or was it the right one? It turned out this was Alanah’s seat in their sight-singing class at Xavier University. From there, the relationship began to form.
The first real interaction came when Austin bumped into Alanah on her way to choir rehearsal where he gathered up the courage to ask her on what would be an interesting first date. Despite this date, Alanah and Austin decided to keep things going; and after dating for a while Austin asked Alanah to be his girlfriend on the walking bridge in downtown Cincinnati.
This relationship continued to form in their time together at Xavier as well as after Alanah’s graduation and move back to Louisville. For a year and a half, Austin and Alanah would drive back and forth between Cincinnati and Louisville to see each other until Austin’s graduation where he quickly joined her in Louisville.
Four short years after it all began, Austin surprised Alanah with a ‘business trip’ to Cincinnati that she was expected to attend. Without any idea, it was there that Austin took Alanah to the place where it all began on the walking bridge in downtown Cincinnati and got down on one knee, asking Alanah to spend the rest of their lives together. Alanah said YES, of course!”
