I couldn’t imagine having a better time shooting a wedding than I did on November 2, 2019. I had been working with Ashlee and Ryan for close to two years at that point and saw them both not just as clients but also as friends, so I was pumped to spend the day with them.
From the first time I met with Ryan, until moments before Ashlee walked down the aisle, it was clear how much they meant to each other. I also saw both of them go through some very hard times in that two year period and witnessed first hand how much they cared for each other! It was a true honor to be a part of their lives and capture these moments for them, that they can share with their family for years to come!
This is their love story (from Ashlee’s perspective):
“We met the fall after graduating high school. We met through my best friend/roommate at the time, Lucy, as she had gone to middle school with him and ran into him while home from Murray state. That friend and I grabbed lunch with another girl from school and said, “Hey my friend Ryan is working over here at Meijer and said we should come visit him.” I agreed because I needed to get a new toothbrush because my mom had thrown mine away after being gone from home for about a month. We met but didn’t really speak much. I had hoped he would add me on Facebook after meeting but never did. I even purposely wrote on Lucy’s wall so he would see my name but still he never did. After we had both gone back to school, he had told Lucy to tell me “hi” and she said, “She’s getting on Facebook now so you can tell her.” We finally became virtual friends and started talking everyday and Skyped each other while I was away at school. Now the rest is history.”
