The Buccola’s are an awesome family I had the pleasure of working with several years ago when they adopted a sibling combo! I was super excited when I was contacted again to capture the adoption of their other set of foster children. Below is their story as shared by Valerie!
“We first met Ryder and Keris a little over three years ago, when they were 7 and 10 years old. When we walked up, Ryder marched right past us as we said hello, hands shoved in the pockets of his Carhartt jacket, and he hopped up into Greg’s truck. We looked at each other, shrugged, and laughed. Keris then followed right behind, trying to explain his urgency to leave. The first 5 minutes together involved deciding between Chili’s and Cracker Barrel, followed by Keris and Ryder playing hand clapping games together.
Chili’s it was, and as the waiter served us mozzarella sticks, Ryder grabbed a big handful as Keris just rolled her eyes…and the rest is history. Breathing a sigh of relief, we realized then that these were just sweet, normal kids, desperately seeking a place to call “home” and family that loved them.
Fast forward all these years later and we’re officially just that; Family. Though the path was often messy and challenging, we made it. And we’d go through it all over again to make sure these kiddos were taken care of.
Keris and Ryder join our two other children, Jake and Sophia, who were adopted just the year before. Together, they are their own “Fantastic Four”. We couldn’t be happier with our little family unit, and we look forward to all the adventures to come!”
Congratulations on the new additions to the Buccola Family! Thanks for allowing me to capture this very special moment!
