October 31, 2015 is definitely a wedding I won’t soon forget. It is not very often you get to shoot a wedding on Halloween. I met Christine at Hairies Salon where her and her friends and family prepared for the events of the day. I am pretty sure it was the first time I have had a hair dresser do a wedding party’s hair with half her face painted as a skeleton.
Once they finished up at Hairies we headed to The Gheens Foundation Lodge to get the festivities under way. I can’t say enough about The Gheens Foundation Lodge and Beckley Creek Park! It is such a great venue! Thankfully we had some lingering fall color. You just never know in Kentucky when the leaves will all be gone. The venue was decorated to match the season and after the ceremony people began to celebrate the day. There was pumpkin decorating for the kids and masks on the table if people chose to wear them and they did.
Truly a unique day spent with great people! Thank you Christine and Nathan for allowing me to be a part of it all! Friends and family make sure to head back over to R.T. Photography’s Facebook page and leave a comment for the couple and give us a like. There will also be one more round of photos to share with over 1,000 images from the day. If you posed with either Christine or Nathan or know you were photographed cutting loose on the dance floor, this is where you will see them.
