There are “Do It Yourself” weddings and then there is Rachel and Kenneth’s way of DIY! When I first met with Rachel in 2013, she told me about her venue. Her father had bought some land right outside of LaGrange, KY in Oldham County and they were going to build an arch in front of one of the trees on the plot. That is the way I remember it at least! Everything you see in the next 200 or so photos was a collaborative effort by Rachel and her family over the last year and will soon be a functioning wedding venue for brides in and around the Oldham County area! These are the first Wedding photos taken on Chapel Hill Farm and I have a feeling there will be plenty more to come!
Chapel Hill Farm is amazing. I felt right at home photographing Rachel and Kenneth on her family-owned farm. It offers so many amazing accommodations. Rolling hills with giant oak trees, an air conditioned Bridal Building with individual Bride and Groom sides and an amazing Open Air Chapel hand built by the family! The bride’s mother, Sandy Whipple, grew the flowers and she, along with the bride’s sister, April Holbrook, created all the centerpieces and other floral details you see around the farm. April also created the bouquets and boutonnieres.
This new Wedding Venue, that sits right outside of Louisville, KY was built by a dad, for his daughter’s Wedding day. It doesn’t really get more special than that.
Family and friends please take a moment and like R.T. Photography on Facebook. There is still one more round of around 900 photos to share. You won’t want to miss the update on those.
