Sara + Matt Renfrow – Sawyer Hayes Community Center:

July 20, 2019 was a gorgeous mid-summer day. I was fortunate enough to spend it with a wonderful couple and their closest friends and family. Sara and Matt chose one of my favorite venues in Louisville to pronounce their love for each other and start their journey as a new family!

One of my favorite moments came early when the bride’s father saw her for the first time. She gave him a handkerchief that read, “Thank you for walking by my side not only today, but always. You are the first man I ever loved and as you give me away, know that I will always be your little girl.” It was a moment I will never forget!

Thank you both for allowing R.T. Photography to be a part of your journey. It’s been a pleasure to get to know you both and share in this beautiful day!

Here is their love story as told by Sara:

Matt and I have been best friends since freshman year of high school. I had a crush on him since then too but never felt like he was interested in me. Even though we were just friends, we still went to senior prom together. Finally when we graduated high school, Matt found out by a mutual friend that I had a crush on him. About a year later, he asked me out at Lake Barkley Lake. This spot has multiple meanings to us: The same place he asked me to be his girlfriend, eight years later he asked me to be his wife. Turkey Bay is the place Matt has gone off-roading with family for 24 years. Now he takes me and I have gone the last seven years. We hope to take our future family there too.
